Sustainability is deeply ingrained in my identity as a fashion designer. While completing my BFA, I thrifted used clothing to use as fabric to save money and be more eco-conscious. I quickly developed a love of upcycling as a way to push myself creatively as a designer. I draw inspiration from my original materials and the process of pattern-making from limited yardage. Hunting for hidden gems in second-hand stores has become a labor of love, as I meticulously curate and transform these finds into one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect my unique vision and dedication to sustainable fashion. In 2020, I launched my brand JUNK GOLD, where I turn “junk” (clothing that would otherwise go to a landfill) into “gold” (one-of-one upcycled pieces).

All of the pieces featured below were designed and constructed from thrifted clothing, table clothes, accessories, or discarded fabric scraps.
